Gitana 43 centre-cockpit blue-water cruiser - ONLY $56,000!

From the legendary Oswald Berckemeyer, famous for designing some of South Africa's most sturdy, robust and seaworthy blue-water cruisers, of which the Gitana 43 was the largest. Solid construction, sleek lines, modern underwater profile, 3 cabin/2 head layout, 6 - 7' headroom, 1000L water, generous storage space, combined with a decent turn of speed, makes for a wonderful long-range world cruiser.

'Pasha' has completed a circumnavigation with her first owner, followed by three more South Atlantic crossings with subsequent owners. She underwent a substantial refit in 2003. Her current owners have lived aboard for seven years, of which the last five, after crossing the Atlantic, have been in and around the Caribbean and US east coast. She has handled some tough conditions, with aplomb.

At $56,000, she represents good value for money, however as the price suggests, there is work to be done, but this is mainly of a cosmetic nature. If you're looking for space, pace, comfort and long range ability, on a tighter budget, and don't mind putting in some time sanding, varnishing, painting, etc., then 'Pasha' is certainly the one.

'Pasha' comes with radar, SSB, pactor modem, 320W of solar, Aries windvane steering, autopilot, AIS, new bimini with side/front/rear panels, RIB with 15hp Yamaha and more.
