5 Oceans South Africa - Cape Town

5 Oceans South Africa is based in Cape Town where Associate Broker, Rudi Pretorius is pleased to offer his expertise to clients around Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.

Rudi first began sailing windsurfers and Hobie Cats back in the 80’s, but only after graduating with a Masters Degree in Business did he acquire his first yacht.  This led to the whole family becoming involved in sailing and the upward progression into catamarans ensued.  Rudi has owned three yachts of which two have been catamarans, the last one being a new build.  This then evolved into the founding of his own yacht company, Maverick Yachts.

Rudi has built 24 yachts, of which 17 have been catamarans.  He serves on the board of the South African Boat Builders Export Council.  His technical knowledge and insight into the marine industry is a great asset.

Rudi brings monohull/multihull knowledge, experience and passion to yacht brokerage.  Whilst he is still at the helm of Maverick Yachts, he is able to serve and match clients with the right boat based on their requirements, and is equally comfortable as a buyer’s broker, or as a listing agent.

As the world’s largest truly global brokerage company, 5 Oceans is ready to assist you if you wish to buy or sell a boat in Southern Africa.  Rudi works closely with other Associate Brokers for buyers and sellers looking to purchase or sell a boat in the United States, Caribbean, UK and Europe.
