Associate Broker Craig Russell has been involved with boats most of his life. He first learned to sail as a Sea Explorer, on donated boats that he repaired and rebuilt where he sailed in Oyster Bay and Long Island Sound.

He bought my first sailboat, a 22 foot Van derStadt, while in Veterinary school, sailed summers on Long Island, and eventually sailed it up the Hudson and the Champlain Barge Canal, to Lake Champlain. He has sailed and had power boats on the Lake for 25 years.

Two years ago Craig started sailing again on a Pearson 30 and last year he traded up to a Knysna 480 yacht, and has been living aboard since June, 2014. He received his USCG Masters Captains License in 2014. Since then he has been cruising up and down the Atlantic Coast, on Lake Champlain, eastern Florida, the Keys, throughout the Bahamas, and the Northern Caribbean.

Today Craig is still living aboard his yacht and serves as 5 Ocean’s Associate Broker in the Bahamas where he brings a wealth of firsthand boating and liveaboard knowledge for 5 Oceans clients.
