About This Boat

Predecessor to the prolific Voyage 500, the Voyage 47 uses the same molds and has the same reputation: high build quality, great sailing performance, ease of handling and low maintenance, all while maintaining the living comfort and space that has made these boats so popular.

The owner is a hands-on captain with over 30 years experience in the charter industry. He was present during the construction and had several modifications done by the builder, including reinforced forward bulkheads for collision protection and rub-rails along the hull, keeping the boat well-off any hazards. After many successful years of on-and-off chartering and cruising on this boat, he's ready to pass the torch. As a bonus, the boat has a foreign-built vessel coastwise trade waiver from the USCG in HI, PR, USVI, and several east coast states, meaning this boat can run charters in these US waters. With some work, this boat will take you anywhere you want to go.

4 ensuite cabins with Queen size beds and wet heads in each, with ample headroom above the beds for sitting up and enjoying a book. The forepeaks offer plenty of storage space and have lighting and shelving to serve as crew bunks. There is also a skipper's bunk midship on the starboard side. The same space on the port side serves as a second nav station with desk space, shelving, outlets and nav instruments.

The salon and up-galley blend into a bright and spacious living area, perfect for serving up happy hour cocktails or a beautiful meal. With a 4-burner gas stove, oven, dual sink (plus a drying sink makes for easy cleanup), dual holding plate electric/engine-driven freezer/refrigerator, a second 'guest refrigerator', and tons of pantry storage, entertaining is a breeze.

The sails are all in good condition (inspected early 2020) and include the mainsail, roller furling 130% genoa, and a gennaker. the standing rigging (inspected 2020) accommodates an additional inner foresail (not included), or support for a delta-shaped pole-less awning(included) that transforms the trampolines and foredeck into a shady spot to lounge. The trampolines have recently been replaced and have a 3-year warranty.

The cockpit is shady and spacious as well, with easily stowed sunshades and plenty of wraparound seating surrounding the helm. The passageway from salon to cockpit has an easy-to-use mosquito screen, keeping pests out and fresh air circulating. The aft deck features a swim platform that's perfectly suited for diving.

The rigging plan is designed for single-handed sailing, with all control lines running back to the cockpit. The boom has an inner-boom extension for hoisting a dinghy out of the water.

Other features:

3000lb anchor windlass with 70lb delta anchor and 150' of chain, with a backup 45lb V- anchor with combination rode of chain and line. The windlass is located in the water tank locker with both rodes passing through aluminum extrusions, as a safety feature to avoid runaway anchor rode and to prevent any fingers or toes getting caught during anchoring. It is operated with foot buttons on the foredeck.

The fuel tank locker has additional space for 8 five-gallon fuel containers, and features a manual transfer pump to transfer fuel from the spare containers into the main fuel tank with no spillage. Great feature for long passages.

The foredeck lockers each have plenty available space for sail storage, long passage provisioning, etc.

100 gallon main fuel tank, 100 gallon main freshwater tank, 2x 65 gallon freshwater tanks (one under each aft cabin bed)

Charger/inverter replaced in 2019.

SSB radio with auto tuner and emergency antenna wired.

Autopilot with cockpit controls (needs attention).

Radar with display in nav station & cockpit.
